Senior Software Engineer Backend — PHP / Laravel.

At norrd you work close to the client, in a small team and on software products that hold up in real operation. We are growing and looking for reinforcement for exciting software projects.

01 — Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities.

You build and maintain complex Laravel applications for industrial and SaaS clients — from initial domain modeling to deployment.
You make architecture decisions (DDD, modular monoliths, event-driven) and document them clearly.
You write clean tests with Pest and are familiar with CI/CD.
You review code and push technical standards in development.
You talk directly to client business units, translate requirements into technical solutions and prioritize pragmatically.

02 — Must-have profile

Must-have profile.

At least 7 years of commercial PHP experience, including 3+ years in large software projects.
Strong skills in PHP 8.4/8.5, Laravel 11+, MySQL and PostgreSQL and Redis.
Expert in REST APIs, Eloquent performance tuning and clean OOP following SOLID.
Confidence in testing (Pest or PHPUnit) and Git-based team work.
Docker basics and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, depending on the client project).
Business-level English, good German.

03 — Nice to have

Nice to have.

Domain-Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture or Event Sourcing (e.g. Kafka).
Livewire, Inertia or GraphQL.
AWS and Laravel Cloud in production.
Observability with Sentry, Datadog or Nightwatch.
